The Danish word Natursut means "Natural Pacifier". The Natursutten Pacifiers are made from pure, natural rubber from the tree Hevea Brasiliensi. The proteins that on rare occasions can provoke a latex allergy is removed from the rubber mass used for these soothers. This means, that there is no risk of latex allergy when using them.

The pacifiers are extremely hygienic because they are molded in one piece. This means there is no joints or cracks where dirt and bacteria can accumulate. The pacifier shield is larger than conventional shields to help protect babies from squeezing the flexible material enough to get into their mouth.

Care Instuctions:

Before the first use, sterilise by immersing the pacifier in boiling water for five minutes. Make sure the pacifier doesn’t touch the bottom of the pot.  After sterilizing, remove the pacifier from the water immediately to let it cool - cooling the pacifier in boiling water can lead to scale buildup, making it appear dull.

Afterwards, just clean on a daily basis, by washing it in mild liquid soap under running water - if it needs an extra thorough clean place it in a strainer and sterilise it by pouring boiling water over it. But don’t boil it again and never leave it to cool down in boiling water. Because the pacifiers are made from natural rubber, they are not dishwasher-safe. Do not use dishwashers or sterilizers, as these can damage the natural rubber material.

Natural Colour Changes

Choosing a natural product means each pacifier will vary slightly in colour. This is purely aesthetic and does not impact the functionality of the product. Due to the natural properties of the material, natural rubber pacifiers can sometimes get a milk white film or cloudiness. While this is most often attributed to heat, there are a number of environmental changes that can cause the material to “cloud”.  The good news is that clouding is completely harmless.  

Natursutten pacifiers can naturally darken with use due to the absence of chemicals and antioxidants. This colour change is expected and indicates the product's natural composition.

Natursutten does recommend replacing the pacifiers every 6-8 weeks. If the rubber becomes sticky, this is an indicator that it is time to be replaced.
