Stockmar Concentrated Watercolour Paints offer young artists and seasoned painters alike an exceptional palette for exploring colour, light, and creativity. Highly pigmented and premium-quality, these watercolours deliver vibrant, luminous shades that are ideal for layering, glazing, or delicate washes. With just the three primary colours - blue, red, and yellow - children can mix and experiment to create a full spectrum of rainbow hues, learning both the magic of colour theory and the subtle harmony of Goethe’s colour wheel.

The paints are formulated with a deep understanding of how colour affects perception and emotion, giving each brushstroke a natural brilliance and translucency. Whether applied to wet or dry paper, Stockmar watercolours respond beautifully to varying levels of dilution, allowing artists to produce everything from soft, delicate tones to vivid, saturated colour planes. Each set includes six 20 ml colours in a sturdy cardboard box: carmine red, vermilion, golden yellow, lemon yellow, ultramarine, and Prussian blue—carefully selected to inspire endless creative possibilities.

Stockmar Concentrated Watercolours encourage experimentation, storytelling, and confidence in artistic expression. Their exceptional handling and rich pigmentation make them perfect for Waldorf-inspired classrooms, home art studios, or therapeutic creative sessions. Children can explore blending, shading, and layering while developing fine motor skills, colour understanding, and a love of visual arts that will last a lifetime.

Basic assortment includes: 6x20 ml colours in a cardboard box Colours 01 carmine red, 02 vermilion, 04 golden yellow, 05 lemon yellow, 10 ultramarine, 18 prussian blue.

How to use:

This Stockmar watercolour set contains highly concentrated pigments, which need to be diluted - to use put about 1/3 of ateaspoon of paint into the bottom of a 50ml jar, then add water until the jar is about 1/2 full. Stir until the paint is diluted thoroughly. You can add more pigment to enhance the colour if needed.

The colours can be mixed to make orange, purple and green. Once diluted, we recommend keeping the colours in the fridge.
