Grapat Palos set (also known as Sticks) contains: 18 pieces in 6 colors that degrade into 3 ranges. Sticks that can be goblins, fantastic creatures, trees, animals, or anything else the child imagines, because the open-ended toys give children the chance to become what is necessary according to the game scenario.
We named these kind of play objects as: games without instructions. This favors open-ended play due to the versatility of the material. about the magic and innocence of childhood. It is a campaign about nature and the values of Grapat, it is about the work they do to cherish childhood. It is about the little pieces they make to be filled with magic. Slow and conscious living, simple traditional production and toys made to be whatever the child imagines them to be.
The set becomes a toy which can be used as a symbolic play, to create stories and small worlds. However, combined with other elements, they can be part of mathematical, language and sensorial games, among others. Moreover, this material is not structured, which allows for it to be used in a broad number of ways. They don’t have eyes, or a gender. This way, it’s the children who can develop their own stories and it’s them who decide which character they are going to play with (a pirate, a vampire…etc.).
