The Grimm's Threading Needle and Cord is the perfect accessory for developing early fine motor skills, hand–eye coordination, and concentration. Designed for use with Grimm’s Thread Game (10315), Thread Game Small Bobbins (10316), or the discs of stacking towers, this wooden needle encourages children to explore threading, patterning, and creative play in a safe, tactile way.

Crafted from solid, sustainable beechwood and finished with non-toxic plant-based oil, the needle and cord are durable, smooth, and safe for young hands. The needle measures 8cm in length with a diameter of 8mm, and the cord is 80cm long — ideal for threading exercises that refine dexterity and support hand strength.

This Waldorf-inspired toy encourages independent, open-ended play. Non-lacquered wood has a lovely texture - the rough texture of the stained wood is not only an important tactile sensory experience for children, but those rough surfaces makes it possible to build in many different ways, because the parts do not slide down so easily as the wood surface is still natural and not covered with a layer of bright enamel; however if you are concerned about paint transfer we suggest you purchase another item that is lacquered to be on the safe side.
