The Grimm’s In the Woods Small World Play Set is a whole world of open-ended play in a box. Thoughtfully curated as an ideal starter set, it brings together selected elements from across the Grimm’s range to create an inviting, nature-inspired play experience.

At the heart of the set is a charming five-piece cottage with decorative holes, ready to be personalised with beads, flowers, or found treasures. Two wooden friends, pebbles in different sizes, rollers in two heights, plates, beads, string, and a soft felt piece offer endless creative possibilities. Children can build woodland worlds, act out gentle stories, make faces and figures, construct simple marble runs, stack towers, or decorate seasonal nature tables.

Inspired by Waldorf Steiner principles, Grimm’s toys are intentionally simple in form, leaving space for imagination to flourish. There are no instructions and no right or wrong way to play - only opportunities to explore. Please note: as Grimm's uses non-lacquered wood, some paint transfer can occur during play. This is considered normal. Non-lacquered wood has a lovely texture - the rough texture of the stained wood is not only an important tactile sensory experience for children, but those rough surfaces makes it possible to build in many different ways, because the parts do not slide down so easily as the wood surface is still natural and not covered with a layer of bright enamel; however if you are concerned about paint transfer we suggest you purchase another item that is lacquered to be on the safe side.
