About Senger Naturwelt

Senger Naturwelt creates beautifully made soft toys and companions using natural, organic materials, thoughtful design and traditional craftsmanship. Founded by Volker and Sabine Senger in rural Germany, the company grew from a desire to create distinctive, imaginative characters rather than mass-produced toys.

A strong commitment to natural and organic materials remains at the heart of Senger’s approach. Their beautifully soft animal fabrics are handwoven from pure organic cotton, while their cuddly toys are filled with carefully selected natural materials including sheep’s wool, spelt husks, cherry stones and grape seeds. Many of these materials are sourced within Europe, with long-standing supplier relationships helping Senger maintain the quality and integrity of the materials used in their products.

Senger Naturwelt follows the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), one of the leading standards for organic textiles, which considers environmental and social responsibility throughout the production process. Their aim is to create products that are not only beautiful and tactile, but also made with materials families can feel comfortable bringing close to their loved ones.

Each animal is made with care in Senger’s own sewing workshop in Latvia, where skilled craftspeople combine traditional sewing expertise with an appreciation for detail, form and quality.

The result is a collection of wonderfully tactile companions made from natural, thoughtfully sourced materials and designed to be cuddled, treasured and loved for many years.
