Grapat Nins Tomten are open-ended wooden figures designed to spark creativity and imaginative play. Each piece invites children to invent their own small worlds, transforming cones into trees, coins into roads or stones, and figures into magical beings, animals, or everyday characters. There are no instructions, rules, or predetermined uses — children decide how to shape, combine, and animate each element according to their own imagination.
The Nins encourage symbolic play, storytelling, and narrative development, allowing children to create rich, personal universes. When paired with other materials, they can also support mathematical, language, and sensory activities, while remaining entirely flexible and unstructured. Free from eyes, faces, or gender markers, the Nins give children full agency over the stories they tell and the roles they inhabit, whether a pirate, a wizard, or a forest creature.
They are a timeless tool for open-ended exploration, supporting creativity, problem-solving, and the endless possibilities of imaginative play. Discover how Grapat encourages creativity and imaginative play.
It contains: 6 Nins® Tomtens, 18 coins, 6 cones, 3 honey comb, 3 fires, 6 mushrooms.
