Grimm's Octagon

Grimm’s Octagon is a vibrant geometric building puzzle that invites children to discover the endless possibilities of the triangle. From small to large triangles, simple shapes transform into hexagons, stars, and countless other geometric forms. One basic shape becomes the foundation for creative exploration, symmetry discovery, and hands-on learning.

This 32-piece set comes in a sturdy wooden frame and features chunky solid wood blocks, each 4 cm deep, hand-painted in beautiful complementary colours. Younger children will enjoy stacking, sorting, and sensory play, while older children can reconstruct the octagon or design imaginative creations beyond the frame, from animals and robots to towers, houses, and entire play scenes for dolls and cars.

Crafted from sustainably sourced alder, lime, maple, and cherry wood, this puzzle celebrates the natural qualities of wood, its texture, warmth, scent, and durability. Finished with non-toxic water-based dyes and natural plant oils, the non-lacquered surface enhances tactile feedback and allows for more stable building. Slight paint transfer may occur due to the natural finish, which is considered normal.

Please note: as Grimm's uses non-lacquered wood, some paint transfer can occur during play. This is considered normal. Non-lacquered wood has a lovely texture - the rough texture of the stained wood is not only an important tactile sensory experience for children, but those rough surfaces makes it possible to build in many different ways, because the parts do not slide down so easily as the wood surface is still natural and not covered with a layer of bright enamel; however if you are concerned about paint transfer we suggest you purchase another item that is lacquered to be on the safe side.
