Grimm’s Large Complementary Colour Star is a vibrant creative puzzle and building set that inspires both playful exploration and geometric learning. Featuring 18 chunky, hand-painted wooden pieces in complementary colours, this puzzle encourages children to develop an intuitive sense of colour, shape, and form. With each piece measuring 4 cm thick, the set fits perfectly in its wooden frame but also invites open-ended play outside the frame, letting children create towers, patterns, creatures, robots, or imaginative play scenes for dolls and vehicles.

Through stacking, arranging, and reconstructing the star, children strengthen fine motor skills, spatial awareness, logical thinking, and geometric understanding. Slight paint transfer may occur during use, which is normal for natural wood and considered part of its charm.

Please note: as Grimm's uses non-lacquered wood, some paint transfer can occur during play. This is considered normal. Non-lacquered wood has a lovely texture - the rough texture of the stained wood is not only an important tactile sensory experience for children, but those rough surfaces makes it possible to build in many different ways, because the parts do not slide down so easily as the wood surface is still natural and not covered with a layer of bright enamel; however if you are concerned about paint transfer we suggest you purchase another item that is lacquered to be on the safe side.
