BPA, PVC, Phthalate and Nitrosamine free

Glass is the safest alternative to plastic baby bottles. Even BPA-free plastic bottles may leach toxic chemicals.

With the proper care glass can last for generations, where as plastic bottles have to be replaced every now and then. Glass bottles are more insulating than plastic and will keep the content warm or cold for longer time. Glass is so much easier to clean. Glass is a natural resource. Borosilicate glass is the type of glass that resists temperature chock best, extreme temperatures and is a lighter type of glass. It’s very resistant even to scratches and has good hygienic features. That’s also the reason that it’s the glass type chosen for laboratories.

It’s free of BPA, phthalates, polycarbonates, plastic, latex and polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Made of borosilicate glass, these bottles are thermal shock resistant and can be boiled and frozen. The Natursutten® bottles are dishwasher-safe.

Glass is easily recyclable and made from abundant natural ingredients. All components made in Europe in compliance with the European safety standard EN1 4350.

The Glass Bottle:

  • Bottle made in France of borosilicate glass, which is dishwasher-safe and thermal shock-resistant (withstands extreme temperature changes, like boiling or freezing).
  • Made in France, in a factory that has specialized in making pharmaceutical glass for over 50 years.
  • Glass is the safer choice: free of BPA/BPS or other harmful chemicals which can leach from plastic bottles.
  • Glass has better thermal properties and will keep the contents warm or cold longer.
  • Glass does not impart or retain flavours or odours.

The 100% Natural Rubber Nipple:

  • Made in Italy alongside the Natursutten pacifier, in a family-run factory that’s been manufacturing rubber baby-products for three generations.
  • Rubber/latex nipples are much softer than silicone and more resistant to teething/bites. The softness feels more natural for babies.
  • Teats made in Italy of all-natural rubber, which is free of harmful chemicals. Its natural softness creates a feeding-experience that more closely simulates breastfeeding.
  • The bottle comes with 2 x “slow-flow” nipples for infants.  Nipples are also available in to purchase at a pack of 2 “fast-flow” for older babies.

The Anti-Colic Double-Valve:

  • Ensures a more even milk-flow, preventing colic and gas and helping feeding go more smoothly. (It really works!)
  • Free of BPA, phthalates, polycarbonates, and PVC.

The Ring, Disk/Seal and Cap:

  • All are free of BPA, phthalates, polycarbonates, and PVC.

Each pack comes with 2 x 240ml Natursutten glass baby bottles, 2 x anti colic valves, 2 x slow flow natural rubber teats, 2 x clear dustcovers and 2 x travel caps and rings.

How do I wash/sterilize the bottle and its parts before first use?

Boil or run the bottle through the dishwasher initially to sterilize. All parts - except the natural nipples - are dishwasher-safe. (Of course, they can also be handwashed.) Nipples should be sterilized for 5 minutes initially in boiling water (full care instructions are included with the nipples).

How do I clean it for everyday use?

The glass bottle, cap, ring, seal, and double-valve are all dishwasher-safe - or can be hand-washed.

The natural rubber nipple should be hand-washed under cold, running water using a mild liquid soap - not in the dishwasher. For a deep clean, place the nipple in a strainer and pour boiling water over it. Do not use dishwashers or sterilizers, as these can damage the natural rubber material.

How often should the nipple be replaced?

Natursutten nipples should be replaced every 6 – 8 weeks. There is no harm in using it longer, but the nipples will get darker and somewhat sticky if you use it for too long.

Choosing a natural product means each nipple will vary slightly in colour. This is purely aesthetic and does not impact the functionality of the product. Due to the natural properties of the material, natural rubber nipples can sometimes get a milk white film or cloudiness. While this is most often attributed to heat, there are a number of environmental changes that can cause the material to “cloud”.  The good news is that clouding is completely harmless.

Natursutten nipples can naturally darken with use due to the absence of chemicals and antioxidants. This colour change is expected and indicates the product's natural composition.
